Why was the GEN TV course developed?
GEN TV concentrates on the one industry sector most often ignored by screen course developers and trainers – TV. It is a medium watched by virtually everyone in the country and is one of the main sectors where there are jobs, but no one knows where to go to build a career in the television industry. There are other multi-media courses around the country now, but none have made the direct link across into what still remains the primary home entertainment medium of Television. That was until QPIX created GEN TV!

QPIX has gone straight to the core of TV and multi-platform production education and designed a large slate of innovative, integrated transmedia television training programs designed to run over coming years that will future-proof students’ knowledge for their career journeys in this rapidly evolving industry.

As well as filling its role as a nationally accredited Screen & Media Academy, QPIX functions for government as the State screen industry development centre.
