QPIX is Queensland's screen industry development centre, situated in Brisbane, Australia.  We are committed to developing independent production and independent screen production professionals in Queensland, and to linking the State independent sector with the industry at the national and international levels.  QPIX provides a range of integrated services to enable the development, production and exhibition of Queensland film, television and new media.

QPIX is a non-profit company.  QPIX must raise a significant amount of its own revenue in order to support operations and to continue delivering its services to the screen industry, but it is also supported financially by SCreen Queensland at the state level, and Screen Australia at the Federal level.

2010 Documentary Productions

QPIX presents the Documentary Development and Production Program in association with Screen Queensland and Screen Australia

We are calling for TV-half-hour documentary concepts (plus treatments where available) for
development and production in 2010. A number of concepts and treatments will be selected to
participate in a development program and up to 7 x TV half-hours will then be selected for production. If
a strong series idea begins to emerge from the collection of submitted concepts QPIX may elect to
develop the separate concepts into a unified series.

We are calling for short film drama scripts for development and production in 2010. A number of scripts
will be selected to participate in a development program and up to 9 scripts (around 10 minutes in
length) will then be selected for production. An additional script call is being made under the Screen
Australia/QPIX RAW NERVE Program. (See separate Guidelines and Application Form). Writers
wishing to apply for both are required to fill out separate Application Forms for each script.
