Lights, camera, action! QPIX’s Young Filmmakers Holiday Course is ideal for aspiring filmmakers (11-15 years) who dream of acting, writing, directing or making home movies! Students will make their own short film, all the way from brainstorming the plot through to shooting and editing it. This is a 3 day intensive course held every school holidays. Young Filmmakers Holiday Course
QPIX’s Young Filmmakers Holiday Course is ideal for aspiring filmmakers (11-15 years) who dream of acting, writing, directing or making home movies! Students will make their own short film, all the way from brainstorming the plot through to shooting and editing it. This is a 3 day intensive course held every school holidays.
All students will receive a copy of their movie to take home and share with friends and family and QPIX will enter the films into Trop Jr, the largest children’s film festival in Australia where kids can win fantastic prizes! Recognised specialist in filmmaking courses for children, Clinton Isle will tutor QPIX’s Young Filmmakers Holiday Course.
QPIX’s Young Filmmakers Holiday Course Age: 11 – 15 years old NB: All QPIX staff are Blue Card holders. Time: 9am – 3pm over 3 days Date: Wed 7th – Fri 9th July (Early Bird Fee available for bookings prior to Mon 28th June) Wed 22nd – Fri 24th Sept (Early Bird Fee available for bookings prior to Mon 13th Sept) Wed 29th Sept – Fri 1st Oct (Early Bird Fee available for bookings prior to Mon 20th Sept) Cost: $325 Early Bird Fee, $360 Regular Fee. Every year QPIX is funded by Screen Queensland and Screen Australia to develop and produce short films and professionally develop early career filmmakers. Since 2000 QPIX has made over 200 short films which have achieved great success in national and international festivals. QPIX is also a registered training organisation and offers both nationally accredited courses as well as short courses and master classes.

About Clinton Isle Clinton Isle is an award-winning filmmaker who works with young people to produce short films. Films made in Clinton's workshops have been finalists in every Tropfest Trop JR competition since it began, they’ve also won awards for the Best Primary School Video Production at the Australian Teachers of Media Awards, and the Best Film Made By Children award at the Auburn International Children's Film Festival. Clinton's workshops for Education Queensland have also received an Education Queensland Showcase Award for Excellence.
Clinton has been awarded Queensland’s Most Promising New Filmmaker by the PFTC (now Screen Queensland) at the Queensland New Filmmakers’ Awards, he is an accredited director with the Australian Film Institute, a member of the Australian Writer's Guild, and is this year's featured filmmaker for In the Bin Film Festival.
