The Pitch Masterclass The Pitch Masterclass is for people with a great concept for a TV show or feature length film (including documentaries). Your tutor will be David Franken, past Commissioning Editor at Network 7 and an independent producer/writer with TV broadcast credits of his own. Students will be invited to pitch to David and will receive personalised feedback on their pitch style and development of their TV or film concept. A week later they will pitch their improved work to David this time to compete for free development and free entry to Round 2: The Super Pitch. The winner of Round 2 will be flown to Sydney with SPAA Fringe registration covered, to pitch at the Screen Development Australia (SDA) Pitch.

Your Tutor: David Franken
![]() David worked as a Commissioning Editor and Programmer for Network 7 for 25 years. He is now an independent writer and producer with broadcast credits of his own. He will be an invaluable tutor for this course as he is in the unique position of understanding both the perspective of the Station Programmer and also that of the independent writer and producer.
