The OB van includes all necessary equipment to complete an outside broadcast in a truly professional manner. Our OB vans are highly mobile and compact. They provide one of the most flexible broadcast-quality systems in the country. They are perfect for covering and recording a wide range of events, shows and programs including:-
- Sporting fixtures and events
- Festivals and outdoor music events
- Panel shows, game shows, conferences and forums
- Theatre, dance, concerts and variety programs
- Vehicle, air and marine displays and shows
OB Van equipment list Cameras - 4 x SONY D50 cameras. Extra cameras can be added
- Cameras have a range of lenses ranging from 15:1 to 20:1 Wide angle and large close up lenses are an optional extra
- All cameras are controlled via the OB van with Sony CCU’s
- The CCU units control exposure, vision levels and colour temperatures
- The camera base stations deliver the following to all cameras:
(1) Director/cameraman return talkback (2) Cue lights (3) Return Vision (4) Extra audio channel (5) IFB channel - Complete range of Vinten tripods and pan & tilt heads
- All cameras can be fitted with either eye piece or external OB viewfinders
- All cameras can be fitted with OB style zoom and focus controls
Vision Switcher and Character Generator
The OB van is fitted with a 8 input SONY DFS 700AP vision switcher. This vision switcher includes a vast range of vision patterns for wipe and effect transitions. It also includes a downstream keyer and upstream title keyer. The switcher can memorise various switcher functions and setups. The character generator is a full broadcast quality unit fit for all types of titles and overlays. Vision recording The OB van includes 2 vtr recorders. 1 x SONY DSR - 1000P 1 x DSR – 1500AP Slo-mo control is via a DNF ST 300 S/SMT broadcast quality controller. Digibeta VTRs are at an additional cost. Audio Mixing All audio mixing is via a Behringer UB1832 FX-PRO 12 channel audio mixer. Various radio microphones and hand mics are available at an additional cost. |
