2005/2006 RAW NERVE– THE SALESMAN
Writer/director David Rusanow, producer Kelly Chapman
QPIX began its production slate in 2000/2001 with FIRST TAKE, a set of 10 x 3 min dramas made by High School students and MEDIASPACE, our State-wide mutlimedia CD-ROM project, a forerunner of today’s transmedia projects that was well ahead of its time, and featured 7 x multi-form works produced in Cairns, Gympie, Maleney and Brisbane.
Since that early start, QPIX has gone on to develop and facilitate the production of what by now in 2011 is over 260 short dramas and documentaries.
The documentaries have ranged in duration from the 13-part 5 minute-episode ODD JOBS series for ABC TV and the multiple 5 minute MICRO DOCS projects with the Queensland documentary association QDOX, through to the range of TV hours and half hours produced since that time under our KINO PRAVDA program.
The short dramas have been produced under a variety of programs including the Screen Queensland and Screen Australia slates WHITE HEAT & TAKE ONE; the Screen Australia slate RAW NERVE; the SILVER HALIDE industry partnership slate for celluloid with Kodak, Atlab, Cameraquip & The Post Lounge; the DRAMA QUEENS slate in partnership with Women In Film & Television; and the slates generated in our accredited training courses – EN ROUTE and BLACK PEARLS (Indigenous filmmakers), with GEN TV soon to come on line.
The overall slate also includes our groundbreaking 2003 international partnership with Tampere Film Festival in the NOKIA MICROMOVIES: PI making drama content for mobiles, and the 2005 SIEMENS MICRO MOVIES mobile content project in partnership with Melbourne International Film Festival.
The overall slate also includes the ultra-low budget 2009/2010 features Dartworth and The Little Things and the transmedia projects People ‘Like’ Me and Sharehouse.
